Bush Urges Extension Of Tax Cuts

WACO, Texas (April 1) - President Bush used the upcoming income tax-filing deadline as basis for his weekly radio address.  The goal was to
promote tax-cut proposals and set up an election-year debate with Democrats over the issue.

In the broadcast Saturday, Bush urged Congress to  permanently extend tax cuts that he pushed into law during his first term, which are set to expire in coming years.

This un-named reporter was a special guest of the president as he gave his radio address, and RepublicanPress.com was choosen to cover this radio address live - the president had a list of other favorable conservative news outlets including: Fox News, The Washington Times, Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge, The Waco Conservative Wacko - a local Waco newspaper that reports the good news - and The Beltway Boys - the asinine Fred Barnes and his goofy, yet boorish partner, what's-his-name.

"Some Democrats in Washington are insisting that we let the tax cuts expire, or even repeal the tax cuts now," Bush  said as he spent the weekend at his Texas ranch. "In either case, that would weaken our economy and would leave American families with a big tax hike that they do not  expect and will not welcome during this time of war. I promised to do all I can do to protect these people, who evidently don't want to pay for the cost of that added protection. I will never let you forget 9-11, or the lessons of that day, which by the way, happened on 9-11." Bush added, as he leaned over and spoke man-to-man with the mircophone.

President Bush was here at the ranch instead of working at the White House. This un-named reporter was impressed with this President's unending dedication to his relaxation.

Democrats argue Bush's emphasis on sweeping tax cuts is driving up the deficit. They say his tax relief primarily benefits the wealthy. But, this un-named reporter ( I had to remain nameless for this report due to the possibilities of being put on former President Jimmy Carter's hit list.) has seen no signs of the deficit going higher. "Up,Up, and away!" a source for the White House told this un-named reporter.

The president argued that he can meet his goal of cutting the deficit
in half by the end of his time in office through pro-growth economic
policies and spending restraint.  And, if he doesn't, he doesn't have
to worry about it because he isn't in office anymore anyways.  President
Bush admits that raising the debt ceiling helps his cause. "We can keep raising it and who knows what will happen down the road?  This time will be in the past - history - and 20 years from now we will all look back and realize we could have done more. It will be a lesson that we have to learn. The future will be the time for playing the blame game, pointing fingers, and panache." said a source from the White House.

This un-named reporter believes that most Americans will not care about who pays for this debt, just as long it's not them.

"As tax day approaches later this month, many American families are now finishing their tax returns," Bush said. "And as you do, an important debate is taking place in Washington that will affect the amount you will pay in the years ahead."
